Guilia! Your link to the Best Street Art Book to Inspire Your Summer Travels is an incredible resource. I'm now virtually flipping through Amsterdam Bike Crates! I'm all for books motivating movement and they pair so well with a destination. Before travelling to Uganda for the first time, I read Barbara Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible. Even though it was set in the Belgian Congo, it all felt so familiar and was such an unexpected education. Thank you for my morning lesson in...a lot of things. I'm curious---how many zines did you come home with after Assedio?

Thanks! I always love preparing for a trip through books, so speaking of which, Berlin recommendations are very welcome, especially fiction.

And that Amsterdam bike crate really touches a soft spot for me. When I lived there, I was deeply attached to my bike crate: a plastic fruit crate covered in stickers. I loved it so much that I had it shipped to Rome when I left, and now it lives in my kitchen, collecting empty glass bottles for recycling.

And yes, I did buy quite a few things at Assedio. I arrived with the rule that I would buy something for every item I sold, as a sort of karma, but I ended up buying much more :-)

My favorite find was a limited edition print by one of my favorite street artists. A very small one, just one color... but still! And also a book on african heritage in Brasil, to prepare a future trip!

I will keep you on my Berlin book radar, Giulia! I love your karma approach and that you had your beloved bike crate shipped from Rome! I really appreciate reading about your travels here on Substack. Keep roaming!

Thank you! I like reading about your (and Kim's) travels (and life) too!
